And the Angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I being you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

He exchanged the worship of angels for the company of killers. He could hold the universe in his palm but he gave it up to float in the womb of a maiden.
He humbled himself. He went from commanding angels to sleeping in the straw. From holding stars to clutching Mary’s finger. The palm that held the universe took the nail of a soldier.
Why? Because that’s what love does. It puts the beloved before itself. Your soul was more important than his blood. He loves you that much, and because he loves you, you are of prime importance to him.
The Lord wants us to exchange our ashes for his beauty. He wants each and every one our problems, concerns and worries in exchange for his beauty and peace. But lately I’ve been figuring that it’s a conscious decision. I can’t keep on holding onto my fears and worries and just expect Gods beauty to fill in the gaps, I have to actively surrender.
What is the deepest root of your joy? What God gives to you? Or what God is to you?

The point I want to drive home is that God has infinite attention, infinite leisure to spare for each one of us. He doesn’t have to take us in the line. You’re as much alone with Him as if you were the only thing He’d ever created. When Christ died, He died for you individually just as much as if you’d been the only man in the world.
what are you filling
your heart with?
i feel so worthless.
The God of creation, the same God that named the stars, thinks more highly of you that he does the stars. Just let that sink in. Jesus says in the book of Matthew: “The very hairs on your head are numbered.” God knows every single detail about you and loved you even before you knew him. What does all this mean? God appreciates you. A lot. Like seriously, he values you more than you can imagine. The things that make up your personality – even the hairs on your head are given huge weight because of that. The best compliment, the most amazing romance, can’t touch the significance you’ve already been given in the eyes of the creator. Just take a read of Psalm 139. So incredible.
“Why didn’t God take away the scars? Because it was the most powerful story. Jesus didn’t even cover up his scars. Healed wounds witness to the world. They are part of our story and symbols that God has restored us.”
-Louie Giglio
We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.
Most of us would prefer, however, to spend our time doing something that will get immediate results. We don’t want to wait for God to resolve matters in His good time because His idea of ‘good time’ is seldom in sync with ours.
At the end of the day, God will not ask you why you didn’t lead someone else’s life or incest someone else’s gifts. He will not ask, ‘what did you do with what you didn’t have?’
Though he will ask, ‘what did you do with what you had?’ Comparison is not an adequate excuse for the tragedy of an unopened gift.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he created you. He is well pleased that you exist. He has entrusted to you everything you need to fufill the purpose for which you were created.
